With Your Help, 16-Year-Old Halit Will Be Able to Walk!

16-year-old Halit Hac Adbullah, a refugee from Idlib, Syria, lost both legs as a result of the February 2023 earthquake in Antakya. He suffered bilateral amputation, losing his left leg above the knee and his right leg below the knee. Halit needs to be fitted with prosthetics on both legs, including 1 carbon foot, 4 silicone lining inner and outer, 2 top adapters, 2 schieber adapters, 2 carbon sockets, 4 trial sockets, 2 cosmetic foam covers, and 1 electric hormonal (electrical stimulation).

Halit’s prosthetics will come from Ottobock Deutschland. PalmyraRelief CIO’s partner clinic, Dogan Medikal — based in Mersin — is providing treatment. Halit’s treatment will also include all orthopaedic examinations, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and training with Dogan Medikal, as well as accommodation and meals whilst being treated.
