Eight year old Farah says her favorite activity is helping her father, a rebel commander, build bombs. Farah was interviewed int heh PBS documentary, Children of Aleppo, and you can see her in this clip from the documentary, where she describes the day her father was nearly killed while making a bomb.

Julia Mathis has founded the Palmyra Relief Club at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, MD, US. The purpose of the club is to raise funds and awareness to support children wounded by the war in Syria, who have lost limbs, and are in need of prosthetic limbs and rehabilitative care.
